New Year, New Trails: Join MSoN for a Hike at Melville Pond in Portsmouth

Kick-off 2025 by enjoying the crisp January air and beautiful scenery with MSoN! Our first hike of the year is perfect for all skill levels, offering scenic views of Melville Pond, Narragansett Bay, and even a small waterfall. It's the ideal way to recharge after the holiday season, with the option to extend the hike if you're feeling adventurous.

Date: Wednesday, January 29th

Time: 10:30 AM (Hitting the trail at 10:40 AM)

Where: Melville Pond in Portsmouth (Type in Melville Park in GPS)

We will meet in the small parking lot that is past the Portsmouth RI Dog Park & Newport RV. Carpooling is encouraged! If you're interested, please email Lauren to be added to the carpooling sign-up sheet.


What to bring:

  • Comfortable walking shoes (the trail is unpaved and will cross over water)
  • Warm clothing—hats, gloves, scarves, and jackets recommended for the January chill
  • Guests and children are welcome (not stroller-friendly)
