    Friday Coffee

This is an informal gathering and is a great opportunity to meet new people, and learn about what Rhode Island has to offer. Children are welcome.

Let's meet up for coffee! If you decide to come out, let us know you're with MSoN!

What's better than meeting and talking over a cup o' joe! (or tea! - whatever floats your boat) Great atmosphere, great folks serving, and lovely scenery!

A few of the dates have been adjusted to accommodate the holidays and probable vacation weekends.

Local Artist Maureen Kennedy-Antonellis will guide us through a painting of acrylic on board.  I've done several of these events over the years and Maureen's has been my favorite.  She is organized and she can help the most untalented would-be artists create a piece that you can either gift without embarrassment or hang on your wall. With so many choices, we'll have to sit together per painting choice.

You will have a choice of painting a Pineapple, a Fish, or a RI Rooster and you can pick your location name as Newport, Middletown, Portsmouth, Tiverton, Bristol or other local (or no stencil).

We will also have another option, to do from start to finish, a Newport sign (see flyer for design). Since this is a start to finish project, please note the price difference. ($65 flat fee)

The canvas is a piece of pre-painted wood on which the silhouette for your location and graphic are already traced.  This activity is a bit more spendy but well worth the cost.  Maureen sells these pieces in local stores at and above $100.  The cost will be $49 for members ($45 no stencil).

We will be hosting this event at Fort Adams Church Hall, Building T381, Jackson Road, Newport, RI (white church building at the dead end).

We would like to enhance our fun, so if you'd like to bring a dish to share, please bring one! We will have beverages, wine, and light snacks as we work on our masterpieces.  Come ready for a good time!

Hot tea selections, scones w/ lemon curd, truffles, macaroons, coffee cakes, and tea sandwiches will be served in an elegant setting. The price per person is $25 for members and $28 for guests.
